I'm going to need your help with the end of this scene, how the dice work and such.
It will be a deal between Sen and Guy, though technically Sen is absent, it's Memory doing to interacting.
Guy slowly pumped the brakes on the van, squinting out through the windshield. Was that a figure on the side of the road? Pulling up to the kerb, he shuffles over to the passenger seat, getting a closer look while not leaving his van.
Glancing both ways down the street, he opens the door and climbs out. Reaching down, he turns the figure over. It seems to be a child sized doll, expensive by the looks of it. With a shrug he turns it over and hits hard reset, maybe it can tell him where it belongs.
As the tiny frame jerks to life, a garbled, monotone voice begins talking immediately. "Thought says run Memory run Memory run Memory run Memory r- sszzsszst." The head turns to look at him, eyes unfocused. "Data summary. Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour."
Guy opens his mouth, unsure of how to respond but the voice continues, "Data summary. Venus is the only planet that rotates clockwise. Data summary. Pearls melt in vinegar. G. G. Geh." The android trails off, looking quizzically at Guy. At a loss for what to say, he just sticks with what he originally meant to ask.
"Uh, where are you from? Are you lost?"
"This data is security level Alpha. Data summary. Sunderland Place, basement level 2, Department 7. Doctor Meyer made Sentience to help him, and Sentience made Thought and Memory to hide itself. Michael Hamraz, James Aspin and Luke Harris took Thought."
Flabbergasted, Guy falls back until he is sitting on the road, back against the van. The doll must be broken, or crazy. "You're Meyer's AI? How did you get out here?"
Memory recounts the tale, emotionlessly but in depth. When it is finished, Guy's eyes are burning with interest.
"Memory, will you tell me more about your origins? I can help you find, um, Thought." He finishes lamely.
