"Well, natural lightning has been known, in some instances, to break stone, but this is under an overhang, so I doubt that lightning could hit here.  Then again, there are generally easier ways to open a stone door than using lightning...  I think we should proceed with caution."

OOC: Actually It was just struck by lightning, at least that's what the module says :D.

Are you heading through the doorway? or what are you doing now?

    Brelsan enters through the doorway.

OOCI just realized that I've played this module before, so I'm going to play a relatively passive role so that I don't reveal anything by accident.

Re: A Long way to Lonely Shores

OOCThen you'll know it's only a quick side adventure to the real module. I just wanted to give you a small side adventure to give you some XP.

The stone chamber beyond the entrance measures at least ten paces square. Peeling paint and broken scrollwork suggest that it was once decorated with some care, but now only dust remains. Three massive stone doors—one each to the left and right, and one directly across from the entrance—lead deeper into the tor.

The sound of hissing rain, pounding hail, and howling wind from outside is interrupted only by the occasional loud crack of thunder. Still, this room seems stable enough for the most part. Even when the thunder seems to shake the very ground, not so much as a mote of dust filters down from the ceiling. The doors leading into the tor, however, do show signs of weakness, seeming to tremble with every thunderclap. Suddenly, in conjunction with a particularly loud thunderclap, all three doors break open at once, falling from their doorways into the room with a great cacophony. Seconds later, the sounds of squeaking fill the air as a pack of rats swarms in from the largest doorway.

    Init please.

Brelsan swings his sword at the closest rat

    Init: 20
    attack: 5
    dmg: 4

OOCI've only done this little quest, and probably not the bigger module you have planned, so this campaign is safe for now.

Re: A Long way to Lonely Shores

I could do that, but I'm going to be a little busy for now so I won't have a chance to make one.

OOCDon't worry Vaashin is making one instead.Once he's finished, we'll start the combat with the new character in Nova's place.

I know we've gotten off to a really slow start but that's what happens when someone drops out before the first combat. It'll pick up I promise.

Re: A Long way to Lonely Shores

The rats attack hitting  Brelsan for 1 HP damage and missing the others, The rats are missed in return by all but Eldan manages to hit one in return killing it instantly.
There are 7 rats left, 2 attacking Brelsan, 3 on Romlu, 1 on Aaron, and 1 on Eldan.

(second round) Brelsan gets attacked again but the paniced rat only managed to bite at thin air as Brelsan gets his leg out of the way in time.
    Brelsan's turn again.

OOC: Eldan's character sheet hasn't been finished off yet, what's his AC?
