    Re: Interesting D&D Characters

There's a guy that I play with that two for one's one of the weirdest pairs ever.
The first Char is a Dwarven halfing tosser.  It's a mix of fighter and monk.
The other is the halfing, who is a barbarian that duals 2 swords or daggers.
The armor on the halfing is linked to the dwarf's gauntlet, by way of the returning weapon perma-spell.
(Since the halfing is the dwarf's weapon, our DM allowed it.)

The guy is an awesome role-player, to the extent that it's very rare that his 2 chars aren't talking to someone, sometimes to 2 different people(1 for each char)
It's also quite funny to hear the 2 chars arguing between themselves.

Dwarf throws the halfing, halfing hits the enemy, does damage for impacting with it, does damage for stabbing it, and then can slice at it untill the thing tries to attack it, at which point the dwarf pulls him back.
A halfing in barbarian rage, dualing 2 swords or daggers, flying at you?  Bet you've never seen that one before.

Dude. That is like the most awesome character I have ever seen. Not only is it a two for one special, but I find the idea of a dwarf throwing an Angry Halfling at his enemies hilarious.

I could never come up with something like that and my imagination is pretty good (Or so I've been told).

Kudos to this man for coming up with such an awesome character and Kudos to you.

If it isn't too much trouble could you give me the rules for a Dwarven "Insert Small size race her" tosser, I would really like to use a character like that in the near future, but with my own unique twist on it (Gnome Wizard with a Wand of fireball, I can already smell the burning corpses of my enemies).

    Shakalablan, for the Greatfather!
    LOL OMG WTF DAIRYQUEEN
    LOL OMG BB-THE-Q!

    Re: Interesting D&D Characters

    Heheheh, this thread is ace.
One of my favourite characters was a Goliath Fighter (yes yes, goliaths are broken, go away)
my mate wanted to test a 20th level character he had made, so he got me and two other friends to each make 20th lvls to fight his in a 3 on 1 battle
he won, stupid bloody dread necromancers :(

But i still love my char, fighter 14/master thrower 5. Oh, and the DM definitely miscalculated the money we got to spend on our gear
He fought with 5 huge spiked adamantine heavy shields, two had the defending property (for a completely stackable bonus to AC), two had the returning quality (or at least their spikes did), and one was animated.

I think now that I must have been breaking rules, but what he would do was fling the returning shields (for fun damage thanks to size and spikes) until his enemies got close, then he would dual wield his defending shields, activating their abilities. BAM 10 AC, then he would activate his animated shield, which had full enchantment, so theres 5 more AC. Then his +5 adamantine fullplate for DR 3/- and 13 AC. Also the armour specialisation feat for DR 2/-. Amulet of natural armor, combat expertise wheeeeee

I know there was more to this character, because I remember hunkering down while fighting golems and getting 61 AC at one point...

Add to that the fact that I spent the rest of his money on increasing his strength then gave him shield sling and brutal throw, he did a fair bit of damage and could take a fair bit as well.

Damn, I have to go dig out his character sheet now, He was the first high-level character I ever made and clearly I went a bit crazy with the power

He can do that via the Fling Ally feat, which I believe is in the Player's Handbook II. It works so much better with a goliath and a gnome. Big Smile

    Re: Interesting D&D Characters

Don't know how effective my fighter character in Barrock's tower is going to be since I just started the campaign but I took points from other characteristics and put them on Int and fortitude and added endurance feat and relentless trait to him.  Not the most powerful fighter you are ever going to see but he is like the energizer bunny, he can go and go and go and go and go than collapse from exhaustion, no fatigue period.  Almost all the extra skill points I have for int is in cross class skills making him almost a scholar, almost a ranger, almost an acrobat.  Not that big and he has lots of mouth and little tact.  Think of the neighborhood knows everything even though he's never been anywhere or done anything type.  Unless I get some good throws and am able to do something handy the party Warblade or the wizard might end up having my loins for breakfast some day.  Just a fighter but he is already making me stretch my role playing skill.

) Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.
