    Ok, to make an oppertunity attack its 1d20 + your melee bonus (+5) you do this by hitting the drop down menu by dice and hitting d20 then chaing +0 to +5

    7, failed saving throw, tripped over a chair. so I'm prone. I spend a moe action to get back up.

    I then proceed to use my Diving Challenge on the mercenary(The one that struck me)
    The Followed by my Daily power, On Pain of Death
    9 vs Will defense (Ugh, not good)
    24Damage if it hit(Unlikely) as well as it's effect


    Being pushed back, Brandis staggers backwards into a chair, tumbling over.

    Ugh, he hits hard, I underestimated him, he won't get that advantage again. It's been awhile since I've fought, but He'll learn why I'm called the Juggernaught.

    Standing up quickly, he sends forth a holy challenge to the man tha struck him, then chanelling divine energy invokes a power divine spell onto him for the error of his ways, On pain of death...

    Dailies are either reliable or have a secondary effect, which is yours? Also can you state the name of the power your using when you use it so I can follow along?

    Ok, Magic Missle is an at will power so you can use it as many times as you wish: So, you see the line at the top were it says
       vs. +4 vs Reflex 2d4+4 Force
      Std Range: ranged 20
    Ok, you are WELL In range (20 sqaures) 

    So roll 1d20+4 and tell me who your attacking and what defense. It saves time if you roll the 2d4+4 damage at the same time.

    Anther question.  How does things that have a range of burst 1 within 10 works?

    Glenn, still cloaked by the surrounding chaos, sees an opening to his south, aiming he fires a shot off.  Worried about retaliation, he retreats a space backwords.

    OOCBecause of my backwords movement, Elethe gets an oprotunity attack if thug three charges me, right?
    I have a few holes in my dnd memory.
    also... yay on 22 damage for first attack in game :D even better because it probably hits and it was only a at will.

    On pain of death does have an effect if it misses
    Miss: Half damage. Once per round, the target takes 1d4 damage after making any attacks on its turn (save ends)

    So I rolled a 24, so he takes 10 Damage, and the effect listed above.

    Brandis felt his holy power falter, and it didn't bring out the complete divine retribution as intended. But he could still see that he had hurt his opponent.

    Argh, I really need to focus more, this is just like the battlefield, making mistakes and faltering gets you killed. And I refuse to let that happen, especially when there is a cleric of my godess that needs my protection.

    Grabbing his maul and tightening his grip upon it, Brandis prepares himself for the onslaught of blows that will be directed at him.

    Elethe and Glenn easily dispatches the incompetent ruffians and both slump to the ground!

    'Elethe would have gotten an AOO yes, UNLESS he had a power that allowed him to shift multiple squares (Fought a monster on the weekend with that....shift 8 or something stupid, danced past the defenders and did a number on the warlocks (ONe of which was me) before the swordmage lightning lured it away

    Which man on the east? The thug attacking Srystyn, The Ruffian right against the east wall, or one of the other two?

    Burst: A burst starts in an origin square and extends in all directions to a specified number of squares from the origin square. For example, the cleric power flame strike is a burst 2 within 10 squares of you, which means the power originates in a square up to 10 squares away from you and affects the origin square and every square within 2 squares of it (a 5-square-by-5-square area). Unless a power description notes otherwise, a close burst you create does not affect you. However, an area burst you create does affect you. A burst affects a target only if there is line of effect from the burst’s origin square to the target.

    So in this case you get a 3x3 square that will effect you. (However a number of powers specify ENEMIES, which would not target you. If you can acess the map I've placed a 3x3 (ie Burst 1) token just off the top lefthand corner of the map. You can also mouse over each token and see the title
