Re: A Long way to Lonely Shores

Romlu and Jack both take wild swings with their weapons. Unfortunately they neither connect with their hobgoblin opponents. One of the hobgoblin's strikes back, whacking Brelsan but failing to pentrate his armour. Brelsan knows that the strike would have laid him out if his armour had failed him. He strikes back at the hobgoblin attacking him and misses as his weapon slides off the hobgoblin's upraised sword. The hobgoblin snarls at him and in gutteral common says "Human scum, you won't leave here alive."

Eldan glows with the aura of a well protected mage as he manages to get his mage armour up in time to see the second hobgoblin leap at Romlu and have his thrust narrowly miss Romlu's neck.

    OOCAnd that's round 1. 5 misses and a spell cast :D
Sorry about the delay, I missed seeing Vaashin's post.

Re: A Long way to Lonely Shores

Jack slashes his weapon into the left of the right handed hobgoblin shattering it's upper arm, The hobgoblin wildly swings his weapon around at Jack missing wide as the pain of his injury distracts him from his swing.

    OOC
I'm trying a more narrative story writing type account of what everyone does. Do you like it? if not I'll discontinue it but I was thinking I might try a Story hour(en world boards) type writing description instead of just using the dice to say it.
I've been reading Lazybones account of the Doomed bastards heading into The Dungeon of Graves (Ratha Athupka or something like that) and been finding it quite engrossing. I'm nowhere near the writer that Lazybones is but I think it sounds better than "Jo whacked his sword against the bad guy with a (dice roll) here."

Let me know if you want me to continue it or not and if not, I'll stop.

Re: A Long way to Lonely Shores

"Leave it to goblins to be stupid enough not to tell an elf apart from a human." Brelsan angrily swings his sword at the hobgoblin who called him a human.

    attack: 9
    dmg: 2

OOCKeep doing it Schotty. I find it more entertaining than "you hit the hobgoblin." And why do the the dice refuse to roll well for me? Bad initiative, bad attack rolls, and terrible damage.

    OOCHi guys,

Sorry for not being active, My laptop has failed and I'm in the process of rebuilding it.
Which means I've lost my combat spreadsheet and the files for the adventures. but I should be able to get them all back in a few days (hopefully).

Also work has been manic which is good since I own the company.
Everything should be back and all good after Christmas.

So we'll put the adventure on hold until I can do some recovery work.

Re: A Long way to Lonely Shores

The Hobgoblins fall to the relentless onslaught by the party, the first one dies as his head is removed from his shoulders and the second goes down with it's skin smoking from acid with several deep cuts in it's body.

The second hobgoblins armor is in ruin and hisses away from the acid attack but otherwise the room is silent. You see a chimney in the middle of the room leading upwards for a goodly distance as well as a table and 2 exits.

Jack looks up the chimney.  (What does he see?)

Re: A Long way to Lonely Shores

He sees soot and ash up there. The chimney travels up about 100 feet and after that you can see open sky.
