    IRC/online gaming

I've been spending some time on the ENword/other wordlers IRC network, and rember DnDorks had an IRC channel at one point in time. Is it still around/does anyone ever use it? Also would anyone be iterested in doing some online gaming through IRC?

I might be interested, though I've never done any IRC gaming ever.

Have a look at my 4e game: Its currently Play-By-Post, but if the players prefer I can move it to IRC, OpenRPG or Maptools. http://forums.dndorks.com/forums/thread/804140.aspx

If your interested in PBP ArtMonkey is setting up two games: http://forums.dndorks.com/forums/thread/803982.aspx

    Re: IRC/online gaming

I was thinking of playing with an ajax chat room here.  The game logs would be permanent, and since I've been doing a lot of ajax work here I might be able to get the best of both worlds in here.

I really like play by forums for the ability of players and DM to write out huge descriptive narration-heavy posts.  But many games just work better and more natural in a real time environment.  I'll see what I can do about putting in a quick demo and maybe I can get some feedback, start simple and expand, rather than what I normally try to do, which is start complex and run out of time. ;)
