When Twitch gets out of his Van, he has it programed to drive a few blocks down and park (waiting for when we depart)

 

James notices that the two calm individuals in the back are observing your group.  The one on the left is a white male in his late 20's, has the look of ex-military, toned, not bulky, blonde hair cut short.  His ability to remain absolutely motionless, other than his eyes observing you, betrays how seriously wired the man is, hes like a statue given life.  His suit is an Evo brand hitech powered suit, the fact that its subtly shifting colors to allow the man to remain more in the background, probably without the man's conscious thought, is evidence enough that the man has money, or at least his boss does.

The one on the right, while also in a suit, though apparently just a normal armored suit, though still expensive, is of mixed amerindian descent, and his eyes occasionally catch the light like a cat or other nocturnal predator.  He watches you in particular, and when he notices you looking at him, smiles revealing perfect white slightly pointed teeth.  The smile lasts only a brief second before he returns to his passive disinterested look.  He comments something to the shorter man in the middle, the one who looks a bit uncomfortable.

The shorter man, once hes made aware of your group starts to get up, then catches himself and sits back down, looking away like the only thing on his mind isn't your group's presence.  The man, obviously the Mr. J., is extremely well dressed, if you're fashion conscious, you're aware his clothing is top rack, Louis Tadaki brand clothing.  He's Japanese, with perhaps a hint of african or caucasian mixed in due to his facial structure.  

Ok,you'll have to explain to me where your numbers are coming from, I'm sure they're right, but shadowrun has so many places for dice to come from that I need to know.

You can use logic if you choose not to use your programs, you replace the "program" dice with your logic dice, not add.
Detect the wireless flow

Decrypt the wireless traffic if you detect it
Decrypt (5) + Response (4) =  9  (vs Thor's encryption x2)
Intercept Wireless Signal

And then you'd have access to whatever he "might" be doing "wirelessly", if he was so included to be using wireless in a den where shadowrunners meet regularly.

He can be your contact, he is a rigger, he controls the entire club mentally, I didn't notice the name on your last contact, but would make sense, since thats what he does.

As I said in the game announcement post, just look over pages 218 in the core book, it says essentially you have a choice of which to use for most purposes, but programs are mostly for automated tasks, things humans can't reasonably do since we get bored or distracted.  

As for using logic instead of sniffer, the book says you need to use sniffer, based on my real world CEH (certified ethical hacker) training, I'd assume that a sentient being, regardless of training, ability, or futuristic whatever, simply can't monitor the signal and grab the meaningful packets out of the air and put them together into a meaningful stream of data, you need your sniffer program to do it for you.  Likewise anything else that you can't do by hand, you need a program to do,which usually won't do as well as you can do a concentrated task.  Which IMO is pretty realistic
